Transport Guidelines
Saving Lives By Strengthening Our Trauma Care System

We need your participation!!!

The SCRTAC meets at 4 PM on the 4th Tuesday of every EVEN month.

When a major trauma patient has been identified, where should that patient be transported, and by what means of transport? Use the Wisconsin Trauma Field Triage Protocol to guide you through trauma patient triage and transport decisions . The goal of this protocol is to minimize the amount of time for major trauma patients to receive definitive care. The SCRTAC encourages all EMS and hospital trauma care providers to use this protocol for making trauma transport decisions, both in the field and in the ED. Working as a region, we can improve trauma patient outcomes by minimizing time to definitive care.
