2027 EMS Funding Assistance Program Now Open
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has opened the State Fiscal Year 2027 EMS Funding Assistance Program, providing an important funding opportunity for eligible EMS agencies across Wisconsin.
The Funding Assistance Program provides supplemental funding to qualified EMS providers to support equipment, training, and other eligible EMS needs.
For SFY 2027, $25 million is available statewide through the program. Eligible emergency medical responder departments and ambulance service providers that apply and meet program requirements may qualify for Support and Improvement funding, which includes a $10,000 base allocation plus additional funding based on the program formula.
Important Deadline
The SFY 2027 FAP application closes September 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Central Time.
Applications are completed through Wisconsin EMS E Licensing and must be submitted by the service director through the service’s Applications tab. Look for the application titled:
“SFY 2027 FAP Application”
EMS agencies that received SFY 2026 FAP funding should also note that the SFY 2026 expenditure report is due September 14, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Central Time.
